Announcing new Workplace Security Insurance benefit
OCSEA Pres. Chris Mabe unveiled a special member-only benefit on Thursday! OCSEA will now provide NO COST Workplace Security Insurance to any member who signs a union card. The benefit is available exclusively to members of OCSEA.
OCSEA has partnered with Pearl Insurance and New York Life to provide this additional benefit. Convention goers were joined by Danielle Schoonmaker and Eric Weiss from Pearl Insurance to learn all about the member-only benefit. The benefit includes captivity/hostage and accidental death and dismemberment benefits for members and their families.
"We’ve been working on this member-only benefit for a while, and we’re excited to share the details with you today. This benefit will be available to every active member of OCSEA, but only members, no one else," said Pres. Mabe during the unveiling.
Previously, the union only provided coverage for members who are on the frontlines in dangerous jobs at DRC and DYS. "Now we are thrilled to expand the coverage to ALL members, including those frontline agencies," said Mabe.
